Diego El-Jaick Rapozo is a mediator and negotiator specialized in complex business disputes and large-scale compensation programs, with emphasis on facilitating dialogue in crisis and high-stakes contexts. He serves as a negotiator in complex civil, tort, and labor cases, and in projects across the energy, mining, logistics, and environmental sectors. His work focuses on conflict prevention and management in high-profile national cases, such as Mariana and Belo Monte, often leading facilition and data-intelligence teams within Crisis Prevention and Management Committees.
He is a PhD candidate at Universidad de Salamanca (Spain, 2024–), holds a Master’s degree in Procedural Law from UERJ (2022), a postgraduate degree in Corporate Law from IBMEC (2016), and a Law degree from UCAM (2006).

Diego Faleck is a business mediator, strategic negotiator, and leading international authority on Dispute Systems Design (DSD). For over two decades, he has successfully led high-stakes cases in Brazil and abroad, spearheading mediations and compensation programs in some of the country’s most landmark disputes.
He holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School (2006), a PhD in Law from University of São Paulo (USP) (2017), a post-graduate degree in Contract Law (PUC-SP, 2002), and a law degree from PUC-SP (1998). Formerly a professor at FGV School of Law (São Paulo and Rio), he is currently an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine Caruso School of Law (USA) and a frequent speaker at leading international institutions.
Prior to founding Faleck & Associados, Diego practiced civil litigation and held a senior leadership role at Brazil’s Ministry of Justice (2007–2011), where he designed the pioneering mediation-based compensation model for the victims of TAM 3054 flight disaster — a framework subsequently replicated for the Air France (2009), Mariana (2015), Brumadinho (2019), and Braskem/Maceió (2020) cases.
He has been recognized as a Global Elite Thought Leader in mediation by Who’s Who Legal, ranked as in Brazil’s top mediator by Leaders League, and acknowledged as one of the leading dispute system designers by Harvard professors Frank E.A. Sander and Robert Bordone.

Elisa Lucena is a mediator and negotiator with expertise in leading large -scale compensation programs, business mediation, and managing high-performance teams. Her practice is focused on sensitive cases defined by complex human and institutional dynamics.
She holds both a Master’s degree (2016) and a Law degree (2013) from the University of São Paulo (FDRP/USP), where she graduated with academic honors. Elisa began her career in the nonprofit sector and joined Faleck & Associados in 2017. She has conducted over 500 mediations, including in the landmark Mariana and Maceió cases, and currently leads teams of more than 100 facilitators. As the head of the firm’s Dispute Prevention Area, she has a distinguished record in organizational consulting.
Elisa is a Professor of Negotiation in the post-graduate program at IBMEC and delivers strategic training for corporations, public prosecutors, and state attorney generals. She has authored book chapters on dispute prevention, dispute systems design, and institutional mediation.
Gabriel Ribeiro is a mediator specialized in commercial, insolvency, and corporate disputes, with extensive experience in multi-party negotiations involving complex institutional dynamics.
He holds a Master’s degree in Law from NOVA School of Law in Lisbon (2022) and a Law degree from FGV School of Law in São Paulo (2011). Before joining Faleck & Associados, his career included roles at leading international law firms such as Shearman & Sterling LLP and Milbank, as well as in-house positions at Itaú Unibanco and companies in the bioenergy and investment sectors.
Currently, he leads the facilitation team in the Brumadinho Compensation Program, spearheads projects in the real estate sector, and delivers training on Dispute System Design (DSD) and negotiation to public and private institutions.
An IMI Qualified Mediator, he is also certified by Brazil’s National Council of Justice (CNJ), and the Portuguese Ministry of Justice. He has co-authored works on mediation and multi-tiered clauses, including the book Estudo e Prática de Arbitragem (Almedina, 2023).
Luiz Ricardo de Oliveira Santos is a mediator, negotiator, and dispute systems designer, with extensive experience in strategic negotiations and in structuring dispute resolution systems involving multiparty negotiations and crisis contexts.
He holds an LL.M. in Law from Columbia University, New York (2014), with honors as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a Law degree from Fundação Getúlio Vargas Law School (FGV Direito SP, 2009).
He served as Chief of Staff and Legal Advisor in the Brazilian National Congress in Brasília (2009–2013), as well as Legislative Acts Manager for the State of Espírito Santo (2015).
Since joining Faleck & Associados in 2016, he has led compensation programs at Faleck in high-profile cases such as Mariana, Brumadinho, and Maceió. He is also a guest professor in courses, training programs on Mediation, Negotiation, and Dispute System Design (DSD), at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Roberto Kuster is a mediator and negotiator with vast experience in large-scale compensation programs and high-complexity disputes. His practice focuses on mediation, facilitation, and designing settlement strategies for high-volume corporate conflicts.
He holds a Law degree from UFES (2011), a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from IBET (2013), an LL.M. from University College London (UCL, 2015, with distinction), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Law at Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen (NL, 2023–), in partnership with Utrecht and Maastricht.
Roberto began his career in tax law (2011–2016), before joining Faleck & Associados (2016). He also served as the Institutional Development Manager for CAM-CCBC (2018–2019). At Faleck, he has held key leadership roles in the Mariana, Brumadinho, Maceió, and Serra Azul cases. He coordinates large-scale settlement programs and serves as a mediator and negotiator in strategic business disputes.
Recognized as a Future Leader by Who’s Who Legal, he is a listed as a mediator at the CAM-CCBC and CAMARB chambers, a Distinguished Neutral of the CPR Institute, and is IMI Qualified (level 2).
Roberto is a Professor of Negotiation at INSPER School of Law and has published leading articles and book chapters on mediation and negotiation rationality in international journals, including those of Pepperdine University, Willamette University, and the Singapore International Mediation Institute.
Ronan Ramos Júnior is a mediator and negotiator speacializing in high-intensity conflicts, multiparty negotiations, and consensus building. Over his career, he has handled complex business mediations, dispute prevention initiatives, crisis management efforts, data-driven strategies, and compensation programs in socially sensitive contexts.
Holding a Ph.D. in Law from UFMG (2024), he teaches ADR at several leading institutions, and previously served as a consultant to the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) National Council (2019–2021) and as president of the Mediation Committee of OAB/MG (2016–2018). Since joining Faleck & Associados in 2016, he has coordinated hundreds of mediations, trainings programs, and large-scale national projects.
Certified by the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, with additional experience in the public and nonprofit sectors, Ronan combines technical excellence with proven management skills and empathy.
He is the author of numerous publications on conflict mediation, most notably the book Manual de Negociação e Mediação de Conflitos (2025).
