Marcela Sussekind Veríssimo Holds an LL.B. degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), 1998. Specialized in Civil Obligations from the Rio de Janeiro Law School of Fundação Getúlio Vargas and in Mediation from Instituto Mediare. Currently undertaking the “Mastery in Negotiation” program from Harvard Business School.

Former associate and litigation partner in large Brazilian Law firms such as Barbosa, Mussnich & Aragão – BMA and Siqueira Castro Advogados, in Rio de Janeiro. Former Managing Counsel Latin America and Caribbean and Upstream Brazil and Regulatory at Shell Brasil Petroleo.

In 2017, her team at Shell was awarded “Latin America Team of the Year” by Association of Corporate Counsel, Lexology and International Law Office, as a recognition of their focus on effective communication, legal understanding, commercial awareness, depth and strength of team and management skills.
